HAIKYU: The Dumpster Battle movie has announced that the Blu-ray and DVD for the movie will release in Japan on October 30. The movie had one of the biggest opening weekends in Japan following the February 16, with the rest of the world following in subsequent months. The Blu-ray and DVD release also includes English subtitles for the main disc, and a short commercial was released for the announcement.
This is the first of two final movies for the Haikyu!! franchise. Synopsis:
Shoyo Hinata joins Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But, Hinata soon finds that he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long-awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?

Haruichi Furudate wrote and drew the original Haikyu!! manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. It ended with 405 chapters, compiled into 45 volumes. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.
Production I.G was in charge of animating both the movie and the TV anime. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the sequel which started in the fall of 2015 and finished during the Winter 2016 season. The third season ran for 10 episodes in Fall 2016, covering Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa. Season 4 was titled Haikyuu!! To the Top, and it ran for 25 episodes over two cours – Winter 2020 and Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime and recent movie, the franchise also has multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, stage plays and games.
