Anime-Planet has announced a strategic partnership with webtoon studio Day Comics, which will start with adding online free previews from the webtoon studio’s catalog to Anime Planet’s online reading portal. The initial launch will include chapters of popular webtoon series such as Secret Class, Engineering Beauties, and Brave New World. Day Comics specializes in the self-production of exclusive adult (NSFW) webtoons and comics.
Anime-Planet allows users to track reading progress on manga, light novels, and webtoon content (including OELs). Chris Kim, Chief Director of Day Comics’s Overseas Affiliate Department highlights this feature: “We are grateful for finding this gem – Anime-Planet – where we could freely share our beloved Daycomics series to audiences outside the box. We, as content savvy, know that Anime-Planet was always sincere to all subculture lovers, providing the niche for discussion and information for thousands of contents. Anime-Planet’s online reading portal currently has chapters through partnerships with Lezhin Comics, J-Novel Club, and MediBang. The platform previously partnered with now-defunct Bilibili Comics.
